What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers, also known as soft tissue fillers or injectable implants, are substances that are injected beneath the skin to add volume and fullness. They are used in cosmetic procedures to reduce wrinkles, enhance facial contours, and restore a more youthful appearance. Our dermal fillers only have hyalurronic acid with lidocaine for comfort.
What happens during filler injections?
Dr. Gloria Wright performs your filler injections at the office. To minimize discomfort, she may apply a numbing cream to your skin. She also uses fillers that contain lidocaine to reduce pain during treatment.
Dr. Gloria Wright injects the filler and massages it into place to get the desired look. Treatment usually takes an hour or less.
After your filler injections, you may notice some skin redness, but these side effects disappear soon after your session. You should see an immediate improvement in your look after your treatment.
You can resume most of your usual activities after your fillers. Dr. Wright recommends you not engage in any strenuous physical activity for up to 48 hours after your filler treatment to reduce the risk of bruising.
